Correction Training Specialist II - Anson Correctional Institution
The NC Department of Adult Correction is one of the largest state agencies responsible for the care and supervision of adults sentenced for violating North Carolina laws. The Correction Training Specialist II is primarily responsible for planning, delivering, implementing, and coordinating training activities for employees at Anson Correctional Institution.

Responsibilities
Reviewing all Requests for Training and Applications for Education Assistance, reviewing, scheduling, coordination, and conducting mandatory annual in-service training for certified and non-certified staff as required by the North Carolina Criminal Justice Education and Training Standard Commission
Assisting with the scheduling of Correctional Officer Basic Training for all new employees who are required by their job classification to attend this training
Conducting the Annual Recertification Training for assigned Certified, General and Specialized instructors
Reviewing, scheduling, coordinating, and conducting New Hire Orientation
Performing other related duties as needed
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree AND one year of experience in a criminal justice or training-related field; or High School or General Educational Development (GED) certificate AND five years of experience in a criminal justice or training-related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
May require General Instructor Certification by the NC Criminal Justice Education & Training Standards Commission
Documented experience in Microsoft Word and Excel
