The Kentucky Tech Center Principal will manage personnel and programs, develop educational plans, and liaise with local school districts and the business community.

Responsibilities

Provide overall management and supervision of personnel, programs, and curriculum development in the center

Develop annual and long-range plans for vocational education programs to meet the needs of business and industry

Coordinate operations, implementation and evaluation of the secondary, postsecondary, and adult upgrade programs in the center

Provide guidance to teachers in curriculum development, instruction, preparation of records, professional development, and other matters

Serve as a liaison between Kentucky Tech, local school districts and the business community

Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification

Kentucky Vocational Principal's CertificateKentucky Secondary Principal's CertificateKentucky Certificate for Career & Technical EducationCurriculum developmentCommunication skills

Required

Applicants must hold one of the following: Kentucky Vocational Principal's Certificate or Kentucky statement of Eligibility for Vocational Principal

Kentucky Secondary Principal's Certificate or Kentucky Statement of Eligibility for Secondary Principal, or a valid Kentucky Certificate for Career & Technical Education

Kentucky Department of Education Vocational Technical School Certificate in Administration, Supervision, and Coordination (issued prior to 1988)

Has completed all coursework requirements and will receive a Kentucky Vocational Principal's Certificate or a Kentucky Secondary Principal's Certificate within one year of initial hire date
