Samuel, Son & Co. is a company seeking a Senior Accountant on a contract basis. The role involves various month-end procedures, preparation of financial statements, and providing analytical support to other departments.

Responsibilities

Various month end procedures and entries, including preparation of monthly and quarterly financial statements, review, and analysis, and Hyperion input

Daily Invoicing

Cycle counts for multiple locations

Inventory Adjustments as needed

Capex – setting up and obtaining project #s; submit requests to capitalize/dispose, tracking project spend

Cost adjustments as needed

Provide analytical support to other departments as needed

Perform various balance sheet reconciliations including bank and cash reconciliations in an accurate and timely manner

Preparation of various ad hoc financial reports

Cross train and serve as back up for other accounting duties

Other related duties and responsibilities as required or assigned

Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook)

Very strong working knowledge of Excel required

Proficiency with ERP systems, experience with D365 preferred
