Responsibilities

Demonstrating competence in decontamination, assembly, sterilization, sterile storage, and case cart assembly

Consistently demonstrates all requirements of CPD Tech II

Maintain certification as a Technician in Sterile Processing from either CBSPD or HSPA

Holds an additional certification from one of the accrediting bodies in one of the following: scope processing, CST, instrument certification

Monitors the quality and quantity of workflow to ensure work is completed

Champion for process improvement initiatives

Able to work independently doing special projects and a super user and designated trainer/preceptor on multiple pieces of CPD equipment and/or applications such as instrument tracking software

In the absence of a team leader and/or supervisor, may be responsible for functioning in a lead role

Embraces, communicates, and participates in ensuring departmental compliance with AAMI standards and The Joint Commission readiness

Performs all other duties as assigned
