The Ash Group is hiring a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for our client, a high-tech aerospace and defense contractor delivering complex technology solutions for national security and space exploration. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and testing of complex aerodynamic components and aircraft structures for the UJTS program.

Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and testing of complex aerodynamic components and aircraft structures from concept through certification

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams across aerodynamics, propulsion, and avionics to ensure seamless system integration and production readiness

Perform detailed analysis and design of new products and processes throughout the entire product lifecycle, including advanced mission payloads

Apply Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) principles to ensure high-precision manufacturing and assembly of aircraft components

Support engineering simulations, including Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Thermal Analysis, to validate structural integrity and performance

Oversee material and hardware selection, ensuring compliance with rigorous aerospace industry standards and production processes
