Responsibilities

Determine project requirements, setting the project scope of work, determining design budgets, and reviewing contracts

Manage multiple objectives from clients, stakeholders, contractors, third parties, and interdisciplinary teams to deliver comprehensive solutions

Develop design criteria and task lists for use by the Design Team. Design portion of project within transportation area of expertise and coordinate with Design Team to produce final construction documents

Perform quality control reviews at appropriate milestones. Review documents for completeness and consistency with company and client standards

Ensure project deliverables are of the highest quality, meet client expectations, and are delivered within agreed timelines and budgets

Provide technical expertise and guidance to team members, promoting professional growth and knowledge sharing

Required

Minimum of a B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering from an accredited college

Minimum of five years' highway design project management experience

Professional Engineering Licensure in the state of Kansas

Knowledge of current highway design criteria

Proficient use of Bentley Products, including Microstation and OpenRoads

Leadership skills with the ability to lead a design team to meet critical deadlines through efficient time management and effective communications

Well-developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders, and effective communications
