Responsibilities
Performs advanced administrative assistant duties
Provides departmental or university information to students, faculty and staff
Schedules and plans activities
Interprets policies and procedures
Assists in the building of departmental course schedule each semester
Prepares departmental electronic personnel action forms (ePAFs)
Compiles, tracks, and reviews data and reports
Maintains multiple databases
Attends meetings and takes notes
Prepares, reviews, revises and distributes documents and correspondence
Orders and maintains supply inventory
Maintains workroom operations
Oversees departmental budgets and financial transactions
Handles P-Card purchases and monitors expenses
Performs other related duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Associates degree in related field
Three years relevant administrative assistant experience or experience in a related field
Must be able to work independently, think critically to solve problems, address matters proactively, communicate well, and complete tasks in a timely and accurate manner
Must be able to use standard office software, including Microsoft Office Suite
Requires good knowledge and ability to apply policies and procedures and solve routine problems of a repetitive nature
Requires a general knowledge of standard office functions
Preferred
Bachelors degree preferred
Previous experience in an academic setting preferred
