Responsibilities
Serve as day-to-day legal and compliance support for PulsePoint
Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial contracts including advertising technology contracts, data licensing agreements, and software and technology agreements
Work with multiple internal teams, including product, sales, and data, to advise on legal issues and risks relevant to WebMD's and PulsePoint’s business, including digital advertising
Provide legal counsel and guidance on a broad range of compliance, privacy, and regulatory matters
Perform other relevant duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
JD or equivalent with license in good standing to practice law in NY or NJ required
Minimum 4 years of experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal setting working on a variety of sophisticated corporate matters
Previous experience with drafting and negotiating commercial contracts required
Demonstrates strong business judgment and discernment
Detail oriented with strong organizational, analytical, written, and verbal communication skills
Ability to think strategically and provide business-practical legal advice and solutions
Ability to balance competing priorities in a high-volume work environment
Ability to work proactively and independently
Preferred
Knowledge of digital advertising, media and advertising technology preferred and highly recommended for this role, but most important is an interest in learning these areas
Knowledge of U.S. and international privacy and data protection laws and regulations strongly preferred
