Intern- Advocate Supervisor
BCFS Health & Human Services is dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of vulnerable populations. The Advocate Supervisor Intern supports program leadership by overseeing survivor advocacy services and assisting with supervisory functions and quality assurance monitoring for advocates serving survivors of human trafficking and youth with complex trauma histories.

Responsibilities
Support compliance with all federal and state regulations
Monitor advocate casework quality and service plans
Assist in identifying trends and training needs
Support safety and permanency decisions under supervision
Ensure consistent engagement with children and families
Participate in community collaboration and relationship building
Support adherence to travel and safety protocols
Review records and reports for documentation accuracy
Provide guidance and coaching to advocate staff
Report safety concerns immediately
Participate in program meetings, supervision, and trainings
Assist with supervision and mentoring of advocates and interns
Support onboarding and performance coaching
Assist in workflow distribution and monitoring
Support complex case coordination and care coordination
Assist with referrals and service planning oversight
Serve as liaison with shelters, courts, and community partners
Monitor compliance with documentation and deadlines
Support data reviews and reporting accuracy
Assist in continuous program improvement efforts
Travel as required between service locations
Flexible availability including evenings/weekends as needed
Maintenance of professional and ethical standards
Respectful communication with clients and partner agencies
Maintain confidentiality in all areas of the service population and program operations
Maintain BCFS HHS professional and ethical standards of conduct outlined in BCFS System employee handbook including demonstrating respect for agency staff, the service population, and community members and always complying with required dress code
Participate in weekly supervision with assigned supervisor
Participate in workshops, seminars, education programs and other activities that promote professional growth and development
Travel across regions required (50%)
Qualification
Required
Currently enrolled in or actively pursuing a graduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Sociology, or related field
Experience working with vulnerable youth, survivors, or trauma-impacted populations
Demonstrated leadership or supervisory capacity through academics or professional experience
Pass all required background checks and screenings
Participate in all program trainings
Demonstrate strong communication, emotional regulation, organization, and leadership potential
Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
