Responsibilities
Participates in assigned activities and ensures work quality/quantity is performed in accordance with prescribed departmental procedures and management expectations. Security Operations includes (but is not limited to): Service ticket completion and workload management; Network vulnerability scans, data loss analysis, information security program exception analysis, data backup tests; SIEM log reviews; and Information security incident investigations
Participates in the design, development, and implementation of technical data security frameworks, including (but not limited to): Development of server and infrastructure security hardening standards; Definition of data security requirements for new and upgraded applications used by the District; and Development of technical solutions for security vulnerability mitigation
Participates in information security risk management programs and remediation of issues resulting from such programs including (but not limited to): Internal and third-party information security audits and risk assessments; Disaster recovery, business continuity, and incident response plans; and Information security governance programs
Participates in activities to improve technical security skills, including (but not limited to): Information technology and security publications via email, newsletter, and other written sources (paper-based and electronic); and Instruction in new and current tools within the District’s information security portfolio (including instruction to other District workforce members)
Assists in the creation, maintenance, and enforcement of information security policies and procedures, including: Policies and procedures applicable to the entire District workforce; and Procedures applicable to Information Technology Department operations

Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university
A minimum three (3) years' work experience as an information security architect, server security engineer, or network security engineer
A minimum six (6) years' work experience as an information security architect, server security engineer, or network security engineer
Preferred
Bachelor's Degree in Information Technology, Information Security, or related field(s) of study from an accredited college or university
A minimum two (2) years' work experience as an information security architect, server security engineer, or network security engineer in a healthcare environment
One?(or more)?of the following certifications:? Supported by the Information Systems Security Consortium (ISC²):? Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or Systems Security Certified Professional (SSCP)
Supported by third-party platform vendors, including (but not limited to):? ComTIA Security+ or Microsoft Security Operations Analyst OR or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA)
