Spectrum is a leading provider of communication and entertainment products, and they are seeking a Senior Director of Emerging Platforms to lead their Emerging Technology and Innovation Group. This role involves identifying innovative technologies and solutions to enhance Charter's position in Edge, AI, and Cloud-based technology, while also focusing on business development and service commercialization.

Responsibilities

Tasked with creatively identifying technologies, solutions, and techniques that will help define and further Charter’s position in areas related to Edge, AI & Cloud based technology

This role will be a mix of both business development, product & service design and delivery towards commercialization

Additionally, this position will be a key architect in helping the company understand how to innovate faster and increase the velocity of service commercialization

Your work will ultimately help in the expansion of Charter’s growing network

Required

Experience in a Product or Engineering role related to embedded systems and/or consumer related electronics - 8+ years

Bachelor's of Science in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering or business

Practicing knowledge of cloud based systems and edge based technology

Practical knowledge of the key pieces of connected home experiences including cloud and CDN based video delivery, GPU and AI background based services, including sensory layer, Local Area Network, Embedded Control, Network layer, Wide Area Network, Data Platform (on-Premise, Private, Public or Hybrid Cloud) and Security (at the edge, network and enterprise) layer
