Director/ExecutiveE78 Talent is seeking an experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer to step into a critical leadership role at a mission-driven food manufacturing and distribution business. The role involves providing financial leadership during a period of transition, improving financial processes, and supporting the business through an important operating cycle.

Responsibilities
Provide hands-on financial leadership during a period of transition and stabilization
Own cash flow, liquidity management, and lender reporting within an asset-based lending structure
Strengthen forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning, improving FP&A discipline and credibility
Address core operational finance challenges, including:
Inventory accounting and controls
Labor costing and margin visibility
Cost leakage across manufacturing and distribution
Partner closely with the CEO and ownership on financial strategy, trade-offs, and prioritization
Lead and support the finance organization (~8 F&A staff), while coordinating with IT (~5 staff)
Oversee and pragmatically improve use of Microsoft Dynamics 365, with a focus on value realization rather than large-scale re-implementation
Support leadership continuity during the permanent CFO transition
Qualification
Required
Experienced Interim Chief Financial Officer
Deep operational, manufacturing, and turnaround experience
Hands-on financial leadership during a period of transition and stabilization
Own cash flow, liquidity management, and lender reporting within an asset-based lending structure
Strengthen forecasting, budgeting, and scenario planning, improving FP&A discipline and credibility
Address core operational finance challenges, including inventory accounting and controls, labor costing and margin visibility, cost leakage across manufacturing and distribution

Former or current CFO / Interim CFO with experience in manufacturing, food & beverage, or distribution-intensive businesses
Experience in turnaround, stabilization, or post-restructuring environments
Strong operational finance skill set, including cost accounting, inventory, and margin analysis
Comfortable operating in lean, imperfect environments and driving progress without heavy infrastructure
Experience working with Private Equity owners and lender-driven reporting requirements
Track record of improving forecast accuracy and financial visibility
