This role involves supporting the installation and implementation of Warehouse Management Software, providing hands-on technical support during project go-live stages, and troubleshooting systems at customer locations.

Responsibilities
Install, configure, and maintain software and databases (SQL Server) at customer sites
Connect, configure, and troubleshoot RS232 serial devices (e.g., sensors, controllers, industrial equipment)
Integrate and test TCP/IP devices on customer networks, ensuring proper communication and data flow
Collaborate with customer IT teams to ensure secure and stable network configurations
Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues in the field
Assist in the emulation of hardware devices to support in-house validation of software features
Provide technical support to clients during the initial go-live stages of projects, ensuring smooth deployment and issue resolution
Document installation procedures, configurations at each site, and service activities
Provide technical training and support for end users and customer staff
Maintain compliance with company standards, safety protocols, and customer requirements
Travel to customer locations as needed, sometimes with short notice
Provide Hyper-Care Level Support to recent installs
Qualification
Required
Associate degree or technical certification in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics, or related field
Hands-on experience with SQL Server (installation, configuration, basic query writing)
Familiarity with RS232 protocols and serial communication troubleshooting
Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking, including IP addressing, routing, and firewall basics
Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documentation
Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel (up to 60%) and work flexible hours, including occasional weekends
Preferred
Experience with industrial automation or SCADA systems
Familiarity with diagnostic tools (e.g., Wireshark, ping, traceroute, Putty)
Basic scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., PowerShell, Python)
Experience with hardware simulation/emulation tools or environments
Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks
