Responsibilities

As a working member of a work team, incumbent will perform hands-on E&C technician work
Responsible for compliance with all applicable governmental regulations and company policies, specifications, and procedures
Responsible for the development and implementation of job plans and cost effective work procedures
Assists in the development of annual capital and O&M budgets
Ensures projects are completed within prescribed budgets and time constraints
As a company representative, willingly interact with Operations, Engineering, Project Management, customers, suppliers, and contractors
Promotes and embodies Kinder Morgan Core Values

Clearly conveys information that is concise, accurate, courteous, professional, and tactful

Required

High School Diploma or GED
Must have 10+ years experience in one or more of the following areas: instrumentation, wiring, controls, low and medium voltage distribution, electric motors, MCCs, protection systems, over pressure protection devices, PLCs, data networks
Must respond to, and address, callouts and emergencies after regular business hours including after dark hours, which may require carrying a communication device
Knowledge of compressors, pumps, control valves, process plants
Knowledge reading and interpreting blueprints, P&IDs schematics and other diagrams
Must possess and maintain a valid driver license, and maintain a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers
May be required to achieve and maintain certifications as required to perform job duties
Ability to manage a work group and be a working member of the team
Demonstrated intermediate level of proficiency in Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint)
Ability to develop effective relationships and promote teamwork, foster open expression of ideas and opinions, provide and accept constructive feedback
Engage in open and honest communications from your team, management, customers and contractors
Possess authentic listening skills
Self-motivated with the ability to successfully and simultaneously manage multiple tasks, meet multiple deadlines, and work with minimal supervision
Adhere to performance expectations as defined by supervision and location supervision
Lift, pull, push, and carry up to 50 lbs
Exert up to 100 lbs. of physical force
Stand, walk, kneel, bend, and squat for extended periods of time
Twist head and back for extended periods of time
Work in areas classified as confined space
Climb and work from ladders, catwalks, staging, and platforms
Ascend and descend slopes and ditches
Work with hands above head
Work lying on back
Work in adverse weather and/or extreme temperature conditions
The regular work schedule is Monday - Friday
The position requires the ability to work extended hours and weekends
May work in low-lit areas
Work requirements include; good dexterity and mobility to function in climbing, bending, kneeling, working with hands extended above the head, twisting of the upper body, standing for long periods of time, working in confined spaces, exposure to extreme weather conditions and lifting
Overnight travel away from the reporting location is required up to 80% of the time
Required to carry company cell phone and respond to calls, text messages, and emails as needed
The position requires the operation of a company vehicle
