Responsibilities
Works alongside with HR, People Services staff to ensure employee activity is updated or input timely and accurately. You will be responsible for your payroll company ensuring worktime is correct and payroll is processed accurately for all assigned employees in accordance with US Law
Ensures that Rolls-Royce payroll processing complies with Federal and State withholding (depositing and reporting) requirements including issuing timely and accurate pay while maintaining adequate records of all data, transactions, resolving issues, responding to employee questions in a timely manner, and assuring privacy of all payroll related records
Ensures that payroll is compliant with all union collective bargaining agreements
Possess the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, problem solve complex pay issues that require additional analysis or information gathering; Complete tasks to support audit activities
Ability to analyze each pay for anomalies or trends that may cause an issue with an employees pay. Research and prepare solutions to errors as they rise. Participate in review and balancing of year-end activity; per pay period reconciliations by providing supporting documents
Understand the basis for SOX compliance standards and work towards any resolving any processes that may be out of compliance
Serves as a backup for the payroll processors in other areas as needed
Qualification
Required
Associates Degree in Finance/Accounting with 3+ years of payroll experience OR Seven (7) years of end-to-end payroll processing
US Payroll Experience
ADP Workforce Now and SmartCompliance and Workday experience
MS Office: Word, Excel, Outlook, PDF, Teams, Copiers
Payroll Technical Skills; understanding taxes, taxable wages, W2s, W2c's
To be considered for this role you must be a U.S. citizen
Preferred
Bilingual (Fluent in English and intermediate in Spanish) preferred
CPP or FPC Certification
Strong Organizational Skills (we are a paperless environment)
Able to communicate at a high level of aptitude and with all levels of employees
Decision Making (knowing when and how to act and when to escalate)
Possess the ability to analyze, communicate effectively, infer, observe, problem solve with little or no direction, and take initiative
Ability to communicate professionally both verbal and in email or Teams communications
Critical thinking ability is a must
Work effectively in a fast paced new and changing environment
Self-starter, planning future workload experience
