Senior Policy Analyst, Government Affairs

Responsibilities

Conduct thorough research on relevant policy issues and trends
Analyze data and information to assess the potential impacts of proposed policies
Evaluate existing policies
Develop policy proposals and recommendations based on research findings
Draft policy reports and briefing notes
Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to gather input and feedback on policy position proposals
Query government officials, industry experts, and other stakeholders to gather insights and build support for policy initiatives
Prepare and present detailed reports and presentations to senior management and other stakeholders
Communicate complex policy issues clearly and effectively to various audiences
Monitor the implementation and impact of policies
Evaluate policy outcomes and make recommendations for adjustments as necessary

Required

Bachelor's degree in Public Policy, Political Science, Economics, or a related field
5+ years of Legislative or similar experience at an Executive Branch agency or industry Trade Association
Proven experience as a Professional Staff Member, Legislative Assistant, Policy Analyst or similar role
Strong research and analytical skills
Strong project management skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work independently and as part of a team
