Lead Process Engineer

Responsibilities
Identify, analyze, and eliminate causes of quality defects; implement sustainable corrective actions
Investigate and resolve customer complaints, including providing technical assistance and recommendations
Assess and resolve process deviations impacting quality, utilization, throughput, and recovery
Qualification
Required
Experience in process quality control and business process management in ALUMINUM & STEEL mills (metals) environment
Experience using statistical methods for process control, defect reduction, and root cause analysis
Experience developing or modifying processes/products to meet customer specifications and cost targets
Ability to work a flexible schedule, including occasional weekends
Preferred
Statistical process control (SPC), capability analysis, and data-driven troubleshooting
Root cause analysis and corrective/preventive action implementation
Control plan development and process standardization
New product/process development support (cost, manufacturability, end-use performance)
Lean / continuous improvement methods applied to quality and throughput
Management of Change (MOC) participation and documentation
