Responsibilities

Become a subject matter expert in assigned work cell(s)
Provide preliminary review of employees for the OJT sign-off
Communicate & document standard work changes
Interview operators on an hourly basis to determine if they are achieving expectations (i.e. Pitchwalk)
Determine what is driving underperformance
Provide countermeasures to underperformance and escalate underperformance to Supervisor, if needed
Perform stand-down training with each operator within assigned work cell(s)
Demonstrate usage of tools and workstation
Ensure training and cross-training is completed in a timely manner, based on the specific workstation and provide suggestions to the Supervisor on cross-training potential and depth building
Review roster and skills matrix to optimize work stations
Ensure shift change is executed properly between shift leads, as well as with operators at each station
Use problem-solving skills to resolve issues in a timely manner
Report output on an hourly basis and update Pitchwalk and Tier boards accordingly
Monitor MRB cages and support moving material in and out of cages when needed
Identify Flow Inhibitors and material shortages and escalate accordingly
Review kitting to ensure operators within the work cell have complete kits and continue to work
Support Operations by being a champion of CORE and Continuous Improvement activities and identifying and encouraging turnbacks so the organization can resolve systemic issues
Support Quality through audit preparations, Gemba walks, PR transactions, quality alerts, ensuring employees are performing and adhering to 5S practices, etc
Support EH&S Operations by adhering to and owning PPE compliance within assigned work cells, entering RIDII on operator or own behalf, understanding and providing support for building evacuations, etc
Support Facilities and Engineering by inspecting calibrated equipment to ensure compliance, ensuring TPM’s are being performed by employees within assigned work cell(s), entering work orders for down equipment, and reviewing chemical cabinets for expired or non-complaint material, etc

Required

Typically, a HS diploma with a minimum of 2 years of relevant experience
