The successful candidate will conduct experimental research on artificial spin lattices and engage in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students, while pursuing independent research aligned with the group's scientific goals.

Responsibilities

Conduct experimental research on artificial spin lattices using microwave spectroscopy and Brillouin light scattering (BLS) spectroscopy

Perform micromagnetic modeling of the experimental results

Set up and operate a wave-vector-resolved Brillouin light scattering spectrometer

Pursue independent research directions aligned with the group’s broader scientific goals

Engage in mentoring graduate and undergraduate students

Participate in scientific activities of the research group

Required

Applicants must hold a PhD in physics, materials science, or a closely related field relevant to experimental condensed matter physics

Prior experience with Brillouin light scattering spectroscopy is required

The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to develop independent research strategies while working effectively within a collaborative research team

Preferred

Experience in microwave spectroscopy is highly desirable

Experience in thin-film deposition is highly desirable

Experience in nanofabrication using optical and electron-beam lithography is highly desirable
