Responsibilities
Set-up / install / remove engines from test cell
Set-up special instrumentation as directed (temperature, pressure, flow, pid, accelerometer, etc.)
Set-up test operating profiles, parameters, and limits
Execute Dyno testing under dyno engineer direction
Perform test cell/general equipment maintenance and calibrations
Review running data, generate problem reports, fill out cell logs, create user manuals, etc
Other test related activities as directed
Qualification
Required
High level of mechanical skills and tool use a must (general, measuring, calibration, etc.)
Hands on knowledge of internal combustion engines a must
Hands-on or knowledge of dyno testing hardware and instrumentation desired
Hands-on or knowledge of dyno testing operation software desired – PUMA/National Instrument NI would be a huge plus
Experience with Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint etc.) a must
Ability to prioritize and manage work effectively to meet deadlines
Strong need to demonstrate a strong drive and accept accountability for actions and results
Ability to adapt to and work within a dynamic environment - cope with change
Strong need to treat people with respect and behaves is a consistent manner in all situations
Ability to think through problems and identity countermeasure quickly
Willing to work extended hours and weekends with short notice
Willing to accept directions and feedback from management, dyno team members, and customers
