Senior Director, Medical Affairs

Responsibilities

Contribution to development and implementation of medical affairs strategy for vaccines across the product lifecycle
Provide scientific and clinical expertise to support regulatory submissions, labeling, and safety monitoring
Collaborate with clinical development, regulatory, and commercial teams to ensure consistent scientific messaging
Offer strategic input and thought leadership in publication planning, medical education, and evidence generation initiatives
Monitor emerging data, guidelines, and competitive intelligence to inform strategy
Manage and mentor a team of MSLs, ensuring effective scientific exchange and stakeholder engagement
Align field insights with HQ strategy to drive evidence-based decision-making
Establish performance metrics and professional development pathways for MSLs
Foster collaboration between HQ and field medical teams to ensure seamless execution
Build and maintain relationships with key organizations making vaccine recommendations
Represent the company in scientific and policy discussions related to immunization guidelines and vaccine adoption
Provide medical leadership at advisory boards, scientific congresses, and public health forums
Influence vaccine policy and recommendations through evidence-based advocacy

Qualification

Advanced degree in life sciencesExperience in medical affairsProven track record in vaccinesManaging MSL teamsImmunization policyExceptional communication skillsPresentation skillsInterpersonal skills

Required

Advanced degree (PharmD, PhD, MD, or equivalent) in life sciences, immunology, infectious diseases, or public health
A minimum of 12 years progressive experience in medical affairs, including leadership roles
Proven track record in vaccines or infectious disease therapeutic areas
Experience managing MSL teams and integrating field insights into HQ strategy
Strong understanding of immunization policy, public health systems, and regulatory frameworks
Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
Ability to travel up to 70% of the time
