Responsibilities
Perform basic maintenance on Powder Coat System (e.g., replace pump plunger, clean venturi, straighten hoses)
Load bulk powder into hopper and ensure proper paint viscosity
Inspect painted parts, repair defects, and make disposition decisions using gauges and test equipment
Train new departmental employees as needed
Operate powder coat guns, rack/unrack parts, move trolleys, and follow daily production schedules
Perform color changeovers, clean booth and guns, and maintain hoses and hoppers
Tear down and clean guns for maximum powder retrieval; follow special cleaning requirements
Ensure quality and quantity of work; document production data and troubleshoot issues
Communicate problems/solutions, participate in team activities, and assist other operators
Maintain a clean, safe work area and follow all prescribed safety regulations
Qualification
Required
High School Diploma or (GED) General Education Degree
Preferred
Experience in related field/industry preferred
