Human Resource Analyst

Springfield Empowerment Zone Partnership is dedicated to enhancing educational opportunities for students. The Human Resource Analyst will support district and school-based administration in recruiting, hiring, and retaining qualified staff while coordinating with stakeholders and the MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Responsibilities

Serves as liaison to district and school-based administration and staff on human resources functions, which includes providing compensation and benefits information to newly hired staff; supplying administrators and staff with educator licensure information and regulations; advising building administrators on staffing allocations: and, providing performance tool and progressive disciplinary process information
Acts as district liaison to MA Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for issues regarding educator licensure
Provides support in creating and implementing initiatives to recruit and retain qualified and highly effective staff
Works with Chief Schools Officer and attends monthly zone meetings and weekly meetings at schools as necessary in support of school Human Resource needs
Researches educator employment histories to determine professional teacher status, salary verification, educator licensure and ensures compliance when awarding various educator stipends
Processes new hires, including enter information into MUNIS and completes hire paperwork,. Meets with employees either individually or in groups
Verifies departmental auditing for schools
Assists with human resource departmental functions
Performs related duties of a similar nature and level as assigned

Required

Bachelor's degree in relevant field
One to three years of relevant experience
Knowledge of salary schedules and contracts for all groups
High level thinking and organizational skills
Knowledge of contracts for all groups
Knowledge of School Committee policy related to Human Resources functions
Knowledge of progressive discipline and grievance procedures for all groups
Knowledge of the legal requirements related to Human Resources related functions
Knowledge of district benefits and the ability to convey them to the candidates in a clear understanding manner
Ability to meet with colleges to create programs that will help to supply our district with highly qualified teachers
Ability to assist in ensuring the school operates within that allocation with regards to their staff
Ability to develop and write reports, policies, and correspondence
Ability to handle common inquiries or complaints
Ability to respond to questions from students, faculty, staff, and visitors
Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of data and instructions in written, oral, schedule, mathematical, or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables
Ability to use (or learn to use) computer software and systems applicable to the position
Ability to follow oral and written instructions and procedures
Ability to collect, organize, and interpret data and prepare accurate records
Ability to maintain well-organized materials, files, systems and tools
Ability to adapt to changes in work situations and priorities
Ability to reason/analyze; use logic to identify and resolve problems
