Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and deployment of scalable backend systems and APIs

Provide technical leadership and mentorship to backend and full-stack engineers

Architect and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Java (Spring Boot) and Python

Design and implement AWS serverless solutions using Lambda, Step Functions, and related services

Ensure high availability, performance, and reliability of production systems

Collaborate with DevOps teams to implement and improve CI/CD pipelines

Drive containerization and orchestration strategies using Docker and Kubernetes

Enforce coding standards, security best practices, and architectural guidelines

Participate in system design reviews, code reviews, and technical decision-making

Work closely with product, QA, SRE, and cloud teams to deliver high-quality solutions

Required

10+ years of backend development experience with a strong focus on scalable systems

Proven Tech Lead / Lead Developer experience in enterprise or product environments

Strong programming expertise in Java and Python

Hands-on experience with Spring Boot and microservices architecture

Strong experience in API development (RESTful services)

Hands-on experience with AWS Serverless Architecture, including Lambda and Step Functions

Experience supporting production systems and managing incidents

Strong understanding of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines

Experience with Docker and Kubernetes

Solid understanding of system design, scalability, performance, and security

Preferred

Experience with event-driven architectures (SNS, SQS, Kafka)

Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation)

Experience working in high-availability or large-scale distributed systems

Cloud certifications (AWS preferred)
