Responsibilities

Independently manage your own caseload from inception to conclusion, drafting pleadings, motions, and discovery requests while meticulously adhering to deadlines

Prepare for and attend depositions, hearings, and trials, providing invaluable courtroom experience

Engage closely with clients, experts, and fellow attorneys to devise effective litigation strategies

Regular communication with clients to keep them informed with status updates and written reports

Conduct comprehensive legal research and write memoranda to bolster case strategies

Ensure smooth case management, enhancing professional skills in a collaborative, inclusive, and supportive environment

Qualification

Required

You must hold a Juris Doctor (JD) from an ABA-accredited law school and be admitted to the Connecticut State Bar or have an adequate UBE score for admission to the jurisdiction

You should have 3 to 8 years of litigation experience preferably in insurance defense or closely related practice area

Clerkship experience is considered a valuable asset

Proficiency in drafting and arguing dispositive motions is vital

Strong capabilities in performing thorough legal research and responding effectively to discovery requests

Strong advocacy skills will be crucial as you assist in mediations, arbitrations, trials, and hearings

Attention to detail, prioritization skills, and effective communication are key attributes for success in this position
