AWARE Inc. is seeking a passionate individual to join their team as a Relief Treatment Service Technician in Crisis Stabilization Residential Services. The role involves providing high-quality care and supervision to emotionally challenged individuals while fostering personal growth and community engagement.

Responsibilities

Responsible for the close supervision of adults who are emotionally challenged and/or experiencing behavior issues while engaged in life activities

Performs basic care and provides supervision during hygiene activities, meal preparation, along with assisting with mealtimes, assisting, and household chores – including laundry, while fostering a safe, attractive, and comfortable environment

Plans, escorts, participates in, and supervises adults during community and group activities, including recreational, leisure, vocational, and educational activities in order to build skills and develop appropriate coping mechanisms

Implements and follows Individual Treatment Plans, Behavior Management Plans, Independent Living Plans and Personal Support Plans and adheres to AWARE Inc.’s Unconditional care Philosophy

Observes, reports, and records data concerning the adults’ physical, emotional, and behavioral states

Shops for the residences’ needs as directed

Actively participates and supports group therapy efforts

Assists with phone calls and visits with family when assigned

May assist – as assigned – in medication distribution programs

Transports residents to and from recreational activities and appointments when necessary

Utilizes H.E.L.P. (including therapeutic holds) when it is determined that a resident is a danger to self or others; also performs basic First Aid and/or CPR when needed

Utilizes and accurately records data using AWARE’s Electronic Medical Records System as assigned, www.aware-inc.org outlined, and trained

Utilizes and accurately records data using AWARE’s Balanced Score Card Performance system as assigned, outlined, and trained

Upon hiring, the Treatment Service Technician will undergo training and will be expected to pass testing in the following areas: H.E.L.P (de- escalation and therapeutic holds), Medication Certification, First Aid/CPR, Blood Borne Pathogens, Client/Employee Health and Safety, and Behavior Intervention Skills

Required

Ability to, under AWARE's Unconditional Care Philosophy, implement individual support plans with the knowledge of behavioral techniques, interventions, skill building techniques, and understanding of the emotional and behavioral needs of individuals

Requires computer literacy skills, including the ability to navigate, record, and overall basic computer skills needed for performance-based software as well as an electronic medical records system

The HT must have the interpersonal oral and written communications skills to work as a team member, to make observations and to report them accurately, to learn resident care methods, and to follow oral and written instructions

A High School Diploma or HSE is required, along with past employment experience

Must have, or be willing to obtain, a valid Montana Driver's License. Must have an acceptable driving record and pass a criminal background check
