As an Embedded System Software Developer Co-op, you will help design and implement a Unified Embedded Logging System for millions of FDX Amplifiers, enhancing the reliability and maintainability of embedded systems in broadband networks.

Responsibilities

Contribute to the design and implementation of a modern C++ logging library for embedded systems
Develop and optimize code for performance, memory efficiency, and reliability
Assist in testing, debugging, and documenting the logging system
Participate in code reviews and team meetings to share progress and ideas

Required

Currently pursuing a bachelor's degree from Drexel University, with a cooperative learning track
Available to work 40 hours per week for 6 months starting March 30, 2026, through September 18, 2026
Authorized to work in the United States with no current or future sponsorship needs
Available to report in-person to the work location on the job posting

Preferred

Proficiency in modern C++ (C++11/14/17) and object-oriented programming
Experience with embedded systems development
Familiarity with multithreading and concurrency concepts
Strong problem-solving and debugging skills
Knowledge of memory management and performance optimization
Experience with version control systems (e.g., Git)
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation
Effective communication and teamwork skills
