Responsibilities
Prepare and document DNA, RNA, protein, and other biochemical reagents
Analyze samples using SDS-PAGE, capillary electrophoresis, gel-based methods, and plate assays
Perform NGS library preparation and sequencing
Execute molecular biology workflows including PCR, in vitro transcription (IVT), and cell-free protein synthesis (CFPS)
Maintain laboratory instruments, equipment, and reagent inventory
Draft and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
Document experimental work in electronic lab notebooks (ELN) and present results internally
Support protein expression, purification, and characterization activities
Contribute to a collaborative, accountable, and inclusive team culture
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in biochemistry, chemical engineering, biomedical engineering, or a related scientific discipline
2+ years of academic or industrial research experience
Hands-on experience with PCR, molecular cloning, and cell-free protein synthesis
Experience with protein expression and purification
Familiarity with analytical techniques including SDS-PAGE and capillary electrophoresis
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred
Experience with Python and liquid handling automation systems
Experience with DNA library construction and next-generation sequencing (NGS)
Experience with binding protein characterization
