Responsibilities
Manage engineering projects for natural gas engine and turbine–based power plants
Oversee and coordinate with electrical vendors, mechanical equipment suppliers, and contractors to ensure seamless project execution
Support procurement efforts by evaluating vendor proposals, equipment specifications, and delivery schedules
Provide on-site support during design, installation, and commissioning phases
Track project schedules, budgets, and deliverables, reporting progress to leadership and clients
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle
Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to identify and resolve technical or logistical issues
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, vendors, and contractors
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Mechanical Engineering
4–10 years of experience in project engineering, ideally within power generation, utilities, or industrial construction
Strong knowledge of power plant equipment (natural gas engines, turbines, switchgear, transformers, balance-of-plant systems)
Proven ability to manage multiple stakeholders and complex projects
Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
Ability to travel to project sites as required
Preferred
Experience with turbomachinery, rotating equipment, or distributed power systems
Knowledge of permitting, codes, and standards relevant to power generation
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is an asset
