Global Biology Compliance Lead

Responsibilities

Develop and implement compliance programs, policies, and training for biological materials subject to pre-commercial government oversight
Lead U.S. and Canada compliance programs, ensuring adherence to: USDA-APHIS (BRS and PPQ) & CFIA regulations
Oversee compliance for: Organisms modified through biotechnology and Non-modified organisms regulated as plant pests or weeds
Coordinate global biology compliance programs to ensure consistency and best practices in compliance and stewardship
Serve as program coordinator for Corteva’s seeds and biology incident response process, under the global incident response team leader
Represent Corteva in industry associations focused on pre-commercial regulatory compliance and product stewardship (based on experience)
Role primarily aligned with Corteva’s seeds business; will transition to the new “SpinCo” company after Corteva’s separation in late 2026
Until separation, provide oversight for crop protection R&D compliance needs related to biology

Required

Excellent organization skills
Excellence communication skills
Demonstrated ability and experience implementing USDA-APHIS, BRS and PPQ regulatory compliance processes, procedures and IT systems at a region and global level, preferably at a large multinational organization
Experience managing regulatory compliance issues / incidents
Demonstrated ability to build consensus in a large organization
Demonstrated ability to lead people, both direct and indirect reports
Experience developing, implementing, and training staff on regional and global regulatory compliance and stewardship requirements
10-15 years direct experience implementing regulatory compliance programs and quality management systems
Education: Bachelor Degree (or higher) in a life science focus
