Senior Data and Business Intelligence Analyst

LHH is seeking a Senior Data and Business Analyst to join our client's Accounting team in a full-time, direct hire role. This role will co-develop and enhance the firm’s business intelligence reporting and data systems while collaborating closely with accounting, IT teams, and firm leadership to deliver actionable business insights.

Responsibilities

Implement new applications and enhance existing ones; manage requirements, testing, and adoption
Apply expert knowledge of accounting applications and reporting tools
Investigate and troubleshoot variances and issues within business systems
Develop and maintain financial analyses using T-SQL and reporting tools, covering profitability, billing, AP/AR, collections, and general ledger
Partner with leadership to define and evolve the BI roadmap
Provide technical support to Finance, HR, and Recruiting teams
Ensure data integrity across HR, recruiting, and financial systems
Develop backend data flows, reports, dashboards, and OLAP cubes; maintain consistency across systems
Create advanced dashboards and visualizations using SQL Server, SSRS, Aderant, and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau)
Collaborate on ETL/ELT processes and system integrations

Required

5+ years of experience in Aderant Expert; familiarity with Intapp Open and Time
5+ years of experience with HRIS and payroll systems
Advanced MS Access and Excel skills (including VBA)
Experience with BI visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau)
Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders
High attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and commitment to confidentiality
Minimum 5 years of financial analysis experience, preferably in legal or professional services
Minimum 5 years of database development and administration experience with Microsoft SQL Server
Advanced SSRS experience required; Aderant Expert experience required

Preferred

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or related field preferred
Very Nice to have: Advanced proficiency in SQL Server (T-SQL, SSRS, SSIS) and SSAS/OLAP
Experience with APIs for third-party cloud applications and BI tools such as IBM Cognos, SSAS, and Power BI
