Responsibilities
Support current products related to quality, manufacturing, supply continuity, and cost improvement
Participate in technical and cross-functional project execution
Proactively contribute ideas for new products and performance enhancements
Collaborate with manufacturing, quality, and supply chain teams to resolve technical issues
Understand customer needs through literature review, customer interviews, direct observation, competitive analysis, prototype evaluations, and simulated/clinical use studies
Translate customer needs into engineering requirements, including product, packaging, and process specifications
Engineer robust, manufacturable products using sound engineering principles
Develop and execute test methods and protocols, including defining measurement equipment, test setups, MSA, and data analysis
Perform moderately complex experiments, analyze results, and make data-driven recommendations
Write detailed technical reports for design verification, validation, and design changes
Create and update design control documentation, including requirements specifications and risk documents
Generate and maintain work instructions, test methods, engineering drawings, and prototypes
Support characterization and establishment of product and process specifications
Identify, evaluate, and manage suppliers, including defining tolerances and acceptance criteria
Assign and coordinate R&D support tasks for technicians
Provide instruction, training, and feedback to technicians conducting tests
Coordinate technician activities to meet project timelines
Ensure compliance with quality system requirements, internal policies, and applicable local, state, and federal regulations
Follow safety policies and promote a culture of quality and compliance
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical)
2–4 years of engineering experience in the including understanding or electrical engineering concepts
Experience developing and executing test protocols and analyzing experimental data
Experience working in regulated environments with design controls
Hands-on experience with lab or industrial equipment (as applicable)
Solid understanding of engineering principles, theories, and concepts
Basic understanding of statistical techniques
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to generate engineering documentation, drawings, and reports
Familiarity with product development processes and manufacturing environments
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent documentation and attention to detail
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively across all organizational levels
Strong teamwork skills, including working with vendors and cross-functional stakeholders
Ability to build productive internal and external working relationships

CAD experience preferred
