Responsibilities
Draft and prosecute patent applications before the USPTO and international patent offices
Collaborate with inventors, scientists, and corporate clients to develop IP strategies
Collaborate with the Brooks team to oversee patent portfolios and provide guidance on IP protection and enforcement
Qualification
Required
Ph.D. in Physics, Chemical Physics, or Organic Chemistry (required)
Minimum 3 years of experience in patent prosecution, including drafting and prosecuting patent applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Admission to practice before the USPTO; state bar admission also required for attorneys
Preferred
Experience with deposition technology is a plus
Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Client-focused approach with attention to detail
Familiarity with ChemDraw
