Oversee the preparation of detailed cost estimates for plumbing construction projects, ensuring and completeness
Utilize software tools such as FastPipe to create and manage estimates efficiently
Collaborate with general manager and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing
Conduct thorough reviews of project specifications, drawing and other documents to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
Negotiate with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
Implement cost control measures throughout the estimating process to minimize financial risk
Mentor and train junior estimators, fostering a collaborative team environment focused on continuous improvement
Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials and best practices in construction estimating
Prepare takeoffs and coordinate project buyouts
Qualification
Required
Strong background in construction management and project management within the plumbing trade
Proven ability to understand and control costs effectively based on real world experience in the trade
Experience in overseeing the preparation of detailed cost estimates for plumbing construction projects
Ability to utilize software tools such as FastPipe to create and manage estimates efficiently
Experience collaborating with general manager and construction teams to gather necessary information for accurate pricing
Ability to conduct thorough reviews of project specifications, drawings and other documents to identify potential cost-saving opportunities
Experience negotiating with suppliers to secure competitive pricing and favorable terms
Ability to implement cost control measures throughout the estimating process to minimize financial risk
Experience mentoring and training junior estimators
Up-to-date knowledge of industry trends, materials and best practices in construction estimating
Experience preparing takeoffs and coordinating project buyouts
