Responsibilities
Executes projects to evaluate and improve the performance, cost, or reliability of existing products and services, as driven by supply chain, quality, reliability, and product line needs
Advises on design for manufacture and reliability for ongoing projects
Supports AMO, category management and procurement teams sourcing raw, intermediate and/or finished goods needed for manufacturing
Qualification
Required
Fundamental understanding of work area and basic knowledge of products/applications upstream and downstream of work area
Knowledge of materials, tools, processes, and products to solve problems
Ability to develop and execute objectives for self and others
Understanding of core disciplines including mechanics, structural dynamics, rotor dynamics, thermodynamics, fluid and aero dynamics, materials science and structural analysis
Experience with computer-aided design (CAD), computer-aided manufacturing (CAM), and product lifecycle management tools
Ability to execute projects to evaluate and improve the performance, cost, or reliability of existing products and services
Advises on design for manufacture and reliability for ongoing projects
Supports sourcing of raw, intermediate and/or finished goods needed for manufacturing
