Senior Business Intelligence Analyst
Caterpillar Inc. is a global leader in manufacturing construction and mining equipment. The Senior Business Intelligence Analyst will be responsible for analyzing enterprise data to provide actionable insights for eCommerce strategies, while also mentoring team members in developing analytical solutions.

Responsibilities
Serve as a lead technical expert to team members, offering guidance and support to drive projects forward and ensuring high-quality deliverables
Gather and analyze data from various eCommerce platforms and sources to provide comprehensive insights
Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and visualizations to monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and track business metrics
Partner with business leaders and teams to identify their data needs and deliver actionable insights to support their goals
Utilize statistical methods and data mining techniques to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies in eCommerce data
Present findings and recommendations to stakeholders in a clear and impactful manner
Evaluate the effectiveness of eCommerce strategies and initiatives, suggesting improvements based on data analysis
Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies to continually enhance data analysis practices
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, Business Analytics, or a related field OR equivalent working experience
Experience in an analytical role
Strong proficiency in data analysis tools and software (e.g., Excel, Snowflake, SQL, Python, R)
Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI)
Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex problems and pay attention to detail
Driven in analytical thinking, anticipating the next question that will get asked by leaders regarding his/her insight results
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to present data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
Knowledge of business data analysis; ability to collect, identify, analyze and interpret business data using various kinds of techniques to meet business needs and requirements
Knowledge of the activities, tasks, practices and deliverables for assessing and documenting business opportunities; ability to assess the benefits, risks, and success factors of potential applications
Knowledge of technical writing; ability to write technical documents such as manuals, reports, guidelines or documents on standards, processes and applications
Knowledge of product features; ability to design, build, and develop a new product, technology, or service from concept through to production
Knowledge of the concepts, methodologies and methods of research analysis; ability to locate, interpret and evaluate research findings compiled and documented by others
Leadership Skills: Building a relationship with team members in order to provide guidance and support throughout the analytical solution process; challenging team members, coaching, driving projects forward and ensuring high quality results
Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision
Organization and Planning Skills: Ability to work on several projects / initiatives at a time plus ad-hoc requests while meeting deadlines and delivering on our promises to our business partners
Analytical curiosity: Constantly reassessing the business problem and letting the data take you to answer the next question you discover
Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors
Preferred
Advanced degree in a relevant field
Experience with eCommerce tracking platforms (e.g., Google or Adobe analytics)
Knowledge of statistical techniques and data modeling
Familiarity with A/B testing and other experimentation methodologies
