They are seeking a motivated Material Testing Intern for Summer 2025 to gain hands-on experience in construction materials testing while working alongside industry professionals on roadway related construction projects.
Consulting
Responsibilities
Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials (e.g., soil, asphalt, concrete, and aggregates) in accordance with WAQTC standards
Assist in sample collection, preparation, and analysis for quality control and assurance
Document and report test results accurately
Support engineers and technicians in evaluating material performance
Follow safety protocols and industry best practices in a laboratory and field setting
Maintain and calibrate testing equipment as needed
Qualification
Required
WAQTC (Western Alliance for Quality Transportation Construction) certification
Perform field and laboratory testing on construction materials (e.g., soil, asphalt, concrete, and aggregates) in accordance with WAQTC standards
Assist in sample collection, preparation, and analysis for quality control and assurance
Document and report test results accurately
Support engineers and technicians in evaluating material performance
Follow safety protocols and industry best practices in a laboratory and field setting
Maintain and calibrate testing equipment as needed
Prior experience with construction materials testing in either a field or lab setting
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds repeatedly
Valid driver's license
Ability to pass both a criminal background check and driving record review
