Responsibilities
Review blueprints, specifications, and other project documentation to understand roofing requirements
Conduct detailed takeoffs for labor, materials, equipment, and subcontracts
Prepare and submit accurate, competitive, and timely bid packages
Understands bid bonds for bidding on government work
Manage project activities from award through closeout, ensuring all deliverables are completed on time and within budget
Schedule and coordinate with field crews, subcontractors, and suppliers
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and resolving issues
Procure materials and manage job site inventory and equipment
Monitor project costs and budget to ensure profitability
Conduct on-site evaluations and manage project safety according to OSHA standards
Qualification
Required
A minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial roofing estimating and/or project management
Extensive knowledge of various commercial roofing systems, materials, and installation techniques (e.g., TPO, EPDM, PVC, metal, BUR, Mod Bit)
Experience with roofing-specific estimating software and Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook)
Strong analytical, mathematical, and negotiation skills
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
Strong time management and organizational abilities, with a capacity to prioritize and manage multiple projects
Valid driver's license and a clean driving record
