Responsibilities

Papers/datasheet study and comparison
Behavior and transistor level circuit design, simulation and verification of power management blocks including SMPS (buck, boost, buck-boost…), LDO, voltage reference and other analog circuits meeting power, performance, and area specifications
Perform bench validation to correlate circuit performance and debug circuit problems with application engineers and testing engineers

Qualification

Power management IC designCadence IC design toolsBehavioral circuit designLab tools proficiencyDevice physics

Required

PhD or master's degree with the research topics related to power management IC design
Experience with Cadence IC design tools
Experience with lab tools such as oscilloscopes, multi-meters (DMMs) and e-load
Device physics, device reliability analysis
