Senior Research Coordinator - Duncan Cancer Center
Baylor College of Medicine is seeking a Senior Research Coordinator to join their Phase 1 oncology research program. This role involves managing daily operations of Phase 1 clinical trials, including patient screening, trial coordination, and ensuring compliance with guidelines.

Responsibilities
Coordinate Phase 1 clinical research trials
Coordinate complex Phase 1 clinical research studies in compliance with institutional, federal, and sponsor requirements
Interview, screen, and recruit research participants; explain study processes, procedures, and expectations to potential participants
Engage with research participants throughout the study lifecycle to ensure protocol adherence and participant retention
Coordinate and schedule research participant visits and study‑related activities
Collect, process, and ship biological specimens according to protocol and regulatory requirements
Collect, enter, and maintain accurate research data and study documentation
Maintain organized and compliant research records
Collaborate with regulatory and finance teams to support successful clinical trial operations
Communicate and collaborate with external sponsors, BCM teams, and affiliated institutions
Develop and maintain study‑specific tools to support trial startup and ongoing operations
Screen potential research participants for eligibility based on protocol criteria
Coordinate study schedules, participant visits, and procedural timelines
Perform data collection and entry in accordance with protocol and sponsor requirements
Perform biological specimen collection, processing, and shipment
Collaborate with Cancer Center finance and regulatory teams to support trial execution and compliance
Perform other job duties as assigned
Qualification
Required
Bachelor's degree in a Basic Science or related field. Four years of related experience may substitute for degree requirement
Five years of relevant experience
This position is not eligible for visa sponsorship. Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States at the time of application and throughout the duration of employment
Preferred
CCRP or equivalent research certification
Phase 1 research experience
Phlebotomy experience and certification
