Responsibilities
Coordinates with Project Engineers and Lab Technicians to determine correct course of action for testing
Provides complete bill of materials by defining when, where, and why parts are utilized during testing and rework
Reviews test plans to ensure design are met
Ensures equipment and parts for testing and rework are available to maintain testing schedule
Work with the Lab Technicians to ensure that test units are complete and ready to test as needed
Coordinates testing of HVAC equipment in various test setups and psychrometric chambers
Works with Lab Operations to ensure that the test chamber and equipment are functioning properly and are in calibration
Work with Lab Technicians to ensure testing is performed to the proper standards
Ensure that data produced is valid for the evaluation of the tested product or component
Runs small, short-term projects independently
Handles multiple tasks simultaneously under the guidance of more experienced Engineers and/or Management
Analyzes test data to determine the product meets defined requirements DOE, ASHRAE, ASME, ISO, ASHARAE, and other standards
Qualification
Required
Four-year ABET accredited degree in Engineering or equivalent technical degree in Applied Sciences
Minimum of 1-2 years in the HVAC industry or equivalent experience in a similar industry
EPA 608 license
Communicates effectively in written and spoken form
Possesses excellent interpersonal relationship skills
Exhibits good decision making and analytical problem-solving abilities
Demonstrates strong multi-tasking capabilities and organizational skills
Works effectively in a team environment
Works effectively in a fast-paced high-pressure environment
Lift up to 50lbs
Sit or stand for up to 95 percent of work hours
Periodic visits to the manufacturing facility with seasonal hot and cold temperatures, dust, and some chemical fume exposure
