Vaco by Highspring is a Dallas-based firm providing outsourced accounting and finance services to privately held, founder/family-owned businesses. They are looking to add a Senior Accountant to manage accounting and finance functions for clients, including month-end close, reporting, and process improvements.

Responsibilities

Serve as a primary point of contact for assigned clients, providing timely and accurate accounting guidance

Support multiple client engagements simultaneously while meeting deadlines and quality standards

Partner with client finance teams on month-end close, reporting, and process improvement initiatives

Translate complex accounting concepts into clear, actionable guidance for clients

Research and apply U.S. GAAP (and other applicable standards) to complex transactions

Prepare and review technical accounting memos (e.g., revenue recognition, leases, equity, business combinations)

Assist clients with financial statement preparation, footnote disclosures, and audit readiness

Support adoption of new accounting standards and changes in accounting policies

Identify inefficiencies in client accounting processes and recommend scalable solutions

Assist with accounting system implementations, cleanups, and integrations

Develop and document accounting policies and procedures for clients
