Responsibilities

Under direction of the Safety Manager, working in a high hazard environment, including focus on overall job hazard analyses environment including explosives, lasers, electrical and non-ionizing/ionizing radiation
Additional focus on lockout/tagout (LOTO), cranes/hoists, fall protection, machine guarding, powered industrial vehicles and confined spaces
Serving as a technical resource supporting engineering reviews of Raytheon/customer facilities, design review processes and products by interpreting and applying OSHA, EPA, DOT, NIOSH, ANSI, NFPA, IFC, IBC and other applicable regulations and standards
Serving as the EH&S engineer for assigned buildings and operational programs
Developing and implementing EH&S policies/procedures in assigned customer areas
Collaborating across departments to achieve and maintain consistency of health and safety program implementation
Conducting injury investigations and root cause analyses, developing corrective actions and tracking to completion
Providing instructor-led training on various safety topics
Providing support for other site EH&S programs as needed
Supporting the site to meet EH&S requirements for internal and external audits including ADOSH VPP, and other internal company assessments
Up to 10% travel possible

Required

Typically Requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 5 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years' experience
Experience working with OSHA regulations and/or ANSI Standards in a military or industrial high hazard environment
The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
DoD Clearance: Secret

Preferred

Experience applying health and safety requirements in a high hazard environment (ex. chemical manufacturing, oil/gas, aerospace) and/or field test environment
Ability to effectively organize and manage multiple projects and programs in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate effective prioritization and implementation skills
Well-developed communication and presentation skills
Be flexible to accept additional assignments, campaigns and rotations to other EH&S programs
Knowledge of Enablon EH&S software
Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) or Associate Safety Professional (ASP)
