Prepare tax returns and tax workpapers
Tax returns will primarily be 1065 partnership returns
Small amount of 1040 individual return preparation as well
Work closely with clients to obtain information and answer questions
Work with senior managers in firm to correctly prepare tax returns
Support firm in other related tasks
Complete continuing education credits to stay up to date with latest tax law changes
Qualification
Required
Prepare tax returns and tax workpapers
Tax returns will primarily be 1065 partnership returns
Small amount of 1040 individual return preparation as well
Work closely with clients to obtain information and answer questions
Work with senior managers in firm to correctly prepare tax returns
Support firm in other related tasks
Complete continuing education credits to stay up to date with latest tax law changes
Strong organization, coordination and planning, and problem-solving skills
Willing to learn new skills and grow in the firm
Ability to meet strict deadlines consistently
Strong written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel required
Preferred
Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
CPA encouraged, but not required (firm will pay one time for prep course if employee decides to sit for exam)
Clear understanding of accounting principles
Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a public accounting firm
Experience working in accounting in real estate industry encouraged, but not required
