Core4ce is looking to hire a Cybersecurity intern to work between January 14th, 2026 and May 15th, 2026 to help support the Naval Information Warfare Centers (NIWC) and their Department of Defense (DoD) and Navy partners. The intern will collaborate on research projects, assist in data analysis, and communicate technical information while staying updated on trends affecting defense-related research.

Responsibilities

Collaborate with Charleston Southern University faculty and Navy (NIWC) partners on assigned research projects

Participate in team-based or individual research initiatives focused on applied Department of Defense (DoD) topics

Contribute to research in one or more of the following areas: Engineering, Information Technology, Networking, Cybersecurity (e.g., Cyber Defense Research Laboratory projects), Business initiatives relevant to defense applications

Assist in gathering, analyzing, and presenting data to support project goals

Attend meetings with DoD representatives, industry partners, and academic advisors to understand workforce development goals

Stay up to date on relevant technical or business trends affecting defense-related research

Prepare research summaries, presentations, or reports as required by project leads

Respond to deadlines in a timely fashion

Upload documentation into approved environment

Communicate technical information in a clear and understandable manner
