Student Support Technician

Clarke County School District is seeking a Temporary Student Support Technician to assist in the maintenance and record keeping of the Clarke County Innovative Digital Learning Environments program. The role involves diagnosing and troubleshooting electronic device problems, preparing devices for repair, and maintaining accurate device inventory while communicating effectively with school stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Diagnoses and troubleshoots common electronic device problems (software update, wireless connectivity, firmware update, login issues, device not charging)
Prepares devices that need to be sent to repair center
Catalogs devices that need additional support into Destiny database
Labels devices needing repair with specific repair requirements
Maintains accurate and timely device inventory
Communicates effectively with school stakeholders
Performs other related duties as assigned for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit

Required

High school diploma or GED equivalent
Eighteen (18) years of age minimum
Diagnoses and troubleshoots common electronic device problems (software update, wireless connectivity, firmware update, login issues, device not charging)
Prepares devices that need to be sent to repair center
Catalogs devices that need additional support into Destiny database
Labels devices needing repair with specific repair requirements
Maintains accurate and timely device inventory
Communicates effectively with school stakeholders
Required to perform multiple tasks with a need to occasionally upgrade skills in order to meet changing job conditions
Operating standard office equipment including pertinent software applications
Preparing and maintaining accurate records
Adhering to safety practices and procedures
Promoting activities and/or events
Required to perform basic math
Read a variety of manuals, write documents following prescribed formats, and/or present information to others
Understand complex, multi-step written and oral instructions
Concepts of grammar and punctuation
Stages of child development and learning styles
Age appropriate activities
School safety and security practices
Required to schedule activities
Collate data
Use job-related equipment

The usual and customary methods of performing the job's functions require the following physical demands: some lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling, some stooping, kneeling, crouching, and/or crawling and significant fine finger dexterity

Maintains all licenses and certifications
