YouTube Content Producer & Editor
The Take by ScreenPrism Media, Inc. is a leading YouTube channel and media brand known for thoughtful analysis of film, television, and culture. They are seeking a YouTube Creative Producer / Director to help shape and grow their YouTube channel, overseeing the entire process from idea to performance review.
Responsibilities
Own the creative and editorial strategy for video and related content in alignment with The Take’s premium voice and analytical standards
Develop and maintain an editorial calendar , including topic research, planning, and prioritization
Translate big ideas into clear, compelling video narratives that educate and entertain
Manage freelancers and contractors
Research and write original, thoughtful, engaging scripts that turn complex ideas into accessible visual storytelling
Maintain The Take’s distinct tone: smart, precise, and culturally fluent
Edit video essays and podcast/video versions of episodes in Adobe Premiere Pro
Collaborate (or execute directly, depending on workflow) on pacing, structure, sound, and overall polish
Maintain clean project management practices for production continuity
Bring strong design instincts to elevate The Take’s visual identity
Create or implement on-screen text, graphics, and visual emphasis that improves clarity and viewer retention
Partner with design support as needed; maintain consistency across style, layout, and brand look
Own post-publish performance review and iteration: analyze CTR, retention, watch time , and audience response
Run A/B tests for thumbnails and titles and iterate based on results
Conduct keyword research and apply YouTube SEO best practices
Track trends across YouTube, film/TV, and online culture to inform content strategy
Coordinate sponsor integrations that are thoughtful, brand-safe, and aligned with audience trust
Support paid promotions/boosts when appropriate
Keep projects organized: file structure, backups, version control, and archives
Qualification
Required
Proven experience in video production and editing, ideally in YouTube-first or digital media environments
Strong proficiency in Adobe Premiere Pro and Photoshop; familiarity with After Effects and Creative Suite tools
Excellent storytelling instincts (structure, pacing, clarity) and strong visual judgment
Strong writing skills that translate into compelling video essays (substance, tone, rhythm)
Deep interest in (and ability to speak intelligently about) film, television, and pop culture
Comfortable working independently, making sound judgment calls without heavy oversight
Highly organized and able to manage multiple projects under deadlines
Analytical mindset: able to interpret performance data and use it to improve creative decisions
Education - Bachelor's degree or higher
Preferred
Growth fluency: familiarity with YouTube optimization and audience mechanics is strongly preferred
Excited to experiment with evolving workflows and tools—including AI for research, ideation, scripting, editing support, SEO, and analysis
