Interest List Management Trainer (PS IV)

Texas Health and Human Services Commission (HHSC) is committed to creating a positive impact in the lives of Texans. They are seeking a Program Specialist IV to provide consultative services, training, and quality assurance to staff on Medicaid Waiver program processes, while also developing and implementing training materials and evaluating program initiatives.

Responsibilities

Plan, develop, and implement ILM quality assurance and training processes by interpreting ILM policies, procedures, rules, and standards related to the interest list management and release activities for the MDCP, DBMD, CLASS, and STAR+PLUS HCBS programs
Will serve as the lead to providing education and training sessions for newly hired ILM staff
Conducts quality assurance, training, and provides guidance to all ILM staff in the development or integration of new or revised operational procedures
Oversight and monitoring of ILM requirements with interest list management and monthly release activities
Coordinates and collaborates with program staff through participation in unit, agency and cross-agency workgroups related to unit functions and planning to analyze, develop, and implement program initiatives
Conducts analysis of data and reports assigned; collects, organizes, analyzes and prepares materials in response to requests for program information, or special project reports

Required

High school diploma or GED required
Knowledge of local, state and federal laws, rules, regulations, policy and procedures relevant to Medicaid, Long-Term Care Programs or Managed Care
Knowledge of intellectual disability and other developmental disability related conditions
Knowledge of MDCP, DBMD, CLASS, and STAR+PLUS HCBS program rules
Knowledge of program planning, implementation, evaluation, and continuous quality improvement
Knowledge of curriculum development using education principles, practices, techniques, and instructional design
Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing
Skill in operating computers with experience using some of the Microsoft Office products, such as Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Ability to gather, assemble, correlate, and analyze information to devise solutions to problems
Ability to interpret policies and procedures
Ability to multi-task, handle stress, and meet deadlines
Ability to make appropriate determinations using specific criteria
Ability to independently plan, organize, prioritize and manage multiple work assignments

Preferred

Preferred knowledge of managed care programs, LTSS Programs or Medicaid Waiver programs
Preferred experience using computer equipment and Microsoft software
