Senior Robotics Software Engineer, Full Stack Manipulation

Tutor Intelligence is focused on building general purpose and intelligent robots by integrating human and artificial intelligence. They are seeking a Senior Robotics Software Engineer to work on full stack manipulation, including algorithms for perception, picking, planning, and stacking. The role requires strong software engineering skills, particularly in Python and C++, and involves collaboration within a small, agile team.

Responsibilities

Experience with building some part of a full robotics manipulation pipeline, including picking, placing, pallet stacking algorithms, planning/trajectory generation, and lower-level arm control (not required to have worked one very layer, but the more the better)
Experience using/building sim/visualization for debugging a robot manipulator
Experience debugging robotics issues on real hardware
Strong software skills, especially in Python & C++
Strong communication and collaboration skills
Strong product/customer focus: have an interest in the project’s ultimate goal, rather than a specific way to get there
Nice to have: Experience working with mobile manipulators
Nice to have: Experience with shared autonomy systems
Nice to have: Experience working in warehouse robotics
Nice to have: Experience with design/interfacing with hardware design teams
