Responsibilities
Hunt for new business to target companies needing warehousing, distribution, freight, or 3PL services
Hit the field daily to meet customers, tour operations, and uncover real challenges
Solution-sell warehouse services, transportation, fulfillment, cross-docking, and more
Grow your territory with a strong pipeline and consistent activity
Build winning proposals, negotiate contracts, and close profitable deals
Maintain CRM updates, forecasts, and weekly progress reports
Partner with operations teams to ensure seamless onboarding and customer success
Stay sharp on market trends and spot opportunities before competitors do
Smash sales targets and celebrate big wins with a high-energy team
Generate new business by targeting companies with warehousing, distribution, or logistics needs
Conduct on-site visits with prospects to understand their operations, challenges, and service requirements
Present tailored solutions such as warehousing, transportation, fulfillment, cross-docking, and supply-chain optimization
Develop and manage a territory pipeline, focusing on consistent lead generation and closing opportunities
Prepare and deliver detailed proposals, quotes, and service agreements
Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts to secure profitable, long-term partnerships
Maintain accurate CRM records, sales forecasting, and weekly pipeline updates
Collaborate with operations teams to ensure smooth onboarding and clear communication of customer requirements
Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and market changes to identify new opportunities
Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and customer site tours
Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly sales targets
Qualification
Required
Strong understanding of warehousing, distribution, and shipping operations
Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently in the field
Proficient with CRM systems and basic sales tools
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred
Experience in logistics, supply chain, transportation, freight brokerage, or 3PL sales preferred (not required but ideal)
